You may be wondering why my website is in this current state.
It had been lying dormant for almost a year. I spent a lot of time creating the website and was happy with
it. However, my mental health deteriorated to a point where it felt entirely too overwhelming to focus
on this page.
I was quite content with the website I created, but with one caveat. Manually editing HTML & CSS felt
like too much of a chore when your mental health is in the toilet.
I eventually added a small update to notify visitors that the website was scarcely being updated. I was
left feeling somewhat hollow, as I originally built this to be a personal home where I could detail all
parts of my life — the good and the bad.
So, here we are now. A minimal page under construction.
What are the plans moving forward?
I am building an entirely new website from scratch. I am unsure of what the final result will be, however, I am incredibly confident it won't look like the last. I do miss my original design, which was just vertical links on a page. Perhaps I'll revisit that.
My main goal is to create a personal website that has all the functionality the previous website had. This time, it'll also include a CMS of sorts that will allow me to update the content more easily so when my mental health is at its lowest point, it will still remain significantly simple and quick to update. I'll periodically post an update the closer it is to being ready.
